Install in this order

  1. Install and verify Metamod:Source first.
  2. Extract SourceMod into the game server's mod directory and verify sm version and sm plugins list.
  3. Install only plugins whose game support explicitly covers the running build.

Compatibility and rollback risks

  • SourceMod is not the CounterStrikeSharp stack and must not be presented as native CS2 support.
  • Extensions and gamedata can break after Valve updates.
  • Use the exact game/platform package and revalidate CS:GO legacy standalone compatibility.
